SOS: VIRTUAL WORLDS

Community Players is offering two space-faring comedies that will virtually take you out of this world this summer! Kids will work with CP Associate Director Tyler Rinne to rehearse, memorize, and perform an all-virtual show via ZOOM in this three-week class that culminates in recorded performances for friends and family to enjoy!
A device with working camera, microphone, and internet connection is required for participation

THE SHOWS

Attack of the Zumitrons

This hilarious sci-fi adventure is about a fleet of starships returning home from a mission, only to be ambushed by a horde of angry aliens! The pilots are defenseless against the might of Zumite, the Supreme Commander of the Zumitrons, so those back on the command ship must find a way to defeat the aliens and free the captured pilots!

Do You Read Me?

Everyone at NASA thinks that Dr. Weaver’s Mars colony is a joke because it’s full of average joes and not “real” astronauts. Their mission? To grow the first eggplant on Mars. Comical reports from self-appointed experts, disappointed sci-fi fans, customer service nightmares, and the leadership of an arrogant Commander lead to one impossible mission!
Both shows are non-musical plays that run 30 minutes or less.

Note: Younger kids will participate in Attack of the Zumitrons, older kids will take part in Do You Read Me?
Show assignments will be given based on age following the close of enrollment.
