Seating for our Regular Season and Stage Door productions are reserved. If you have a specific seating request, such as close to the front or on an aisle, please tell the Box Office when making your reservation. Sometimes a special event may be general admission. If so, that information will be stated in the event description.
There is no dress code - come as you are! Some people do like to dress up for a night out at the theatre, but it's up to you.
Performances begin at the time advertised. We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before curtain to make sure you have time to park, visit the concession stand, use the restroom, and find your seat. If you are late, you will be seated at the discretion of house management at a time that does not disrupt other patrons. There is a closed-circuit TV in the lobby for late comers or those who must exit during the performance.
Yes! We have a concession stand which offers various items including popcorn, candy, and beverages. Food and drink are allowed in the auditorium. Community Players does not have a liquor license (though some special events occassionally do have a bar). Outside food and drink is prohibited.
Cast members, at their own discretion, will come out to greet friends and family members in the auditorium following the performance. Before coming out they must change out of their costumes, so please be patient! Audience members are not permitted on the set, backstage, or in the greenroom.
We understand that sometimes last minute things come up and patrons can't make their reservations. If this happens we ask for you to please call the theatre, if possible at least two hours before the show, to let us know. We will gladly change your reservation to another performance of that show. If you are Season Ticket holder there is no charge to change your reservations. There is a $1 per ticket service charge to change reservations if you are not a Season Ticket Holder. We do not refund tickets unless we cancel the performance.
Performances are canceled only in extreme weather emergencies. Exchanges for another performance or refunds will be issued only if we cancel the show. If we have to cancel a performance, we will post on all our social media platforms, our website, email, and local media. We will not refund unused tickets if we have not canceled the performance.
You can take pictures before the show or during intermission. In fact, we provide free Wi-Fi and encourage you to post on social media that you are at the show! You can even visit our Showtime Photo Booth Backdrop to take photos with the cast after the show! After the show begins, however, the taking of photographs and use of recording devices is strictly prohibited (and illegal).
Parents should use their own judgement when deciding to bring their children to a show. We provide a rating system to help you determine if a show is right for you and your family. If in doubt, please call the theatre (402) 228-1801 and we would be happy to discuss a show's content prior to your ticket purchase. Please note, that we strongly discourage bringing infants to any performance - not because we are mean. An upset infant can ruin the entire performance for other audience members, and distract the performers in our intimate theatre. Everyone, regardless of age, who enters the auditorium must have a ticket, even if the child will be sitting on a lap or in a carrier.
All parking in dowtown Beatrice is free. There is a large lot directly across the street from the theatre, in addition to another nearby lot and street parking.
Um, no. In fact we reserve the right to remove disruptive audience members from the show!
