Rachele Stoops avoids boredom at all costs. She started her teaching career in 2015, and over the next six years earned her master’s and doctorate degrees in education. Rachele has managed to keep her passion for acting and directing, working with a number of Lincoln theaters as an actor and director and establishing a theatre program while in her first teaching job.
She currently teaches high school English for Graduation Pathways, a focus program with Lincoln Public Schools. For Rachele, teaching is another opportunity to perform (sometimes improv!), as well as an opportunity to work with teenagers dealing with stress, crisis, and trauma.
Rachele fills her free moments with side hustles, making earrings to sell at craft shows and creating Really Ready, a nonprofit offering college prep courses for high school graduates heading to college, which will open in June 2023. Fortunately, Rachele has an incredible support system in her husband, Shane, who offers calm in the chaos she can’t seem to quit. Rachele and Shane have four grown up kids in their blended family, and an adorable chihuahua named Cecil, who is Rachele’s baby and also kind of a jerk. Rachele is enjoying every moment of rehearsal and production for “Murder on the Orient Express!”
