CP's Show Rating System
Community Players strives to offer a wide variety of shows and events that speak to our entire community.
Audiences sometimes wonder if a show is right for them or members of their families. Community Players has created a show rating system to help you gauge if a show is right for you. Look for these symbols on our promotional materials beginning with the 2017-2018 Season.
For parents: The age recommendations are meant to give you guidance in deciding if a particular show is right for your child. You know your child best, use your judgement in determining if they will enjoy or understand a particular show.
All Audiences
Appropriate for everyone of all ages. Our family productions all fall into this category. The equivalent of a G rated movie.
Broad Audiences
Appropriate for the majority of audiences. May contain some physical humor or comedy that will go over the head of young audiences. Generally these shows are for ages 6 and up. The equivalent of a PG rated movie.
Some Audiences
Appropriate for older audiences. May contain comedic innuendo, mild language, complex or serious themes. The equivalent of a PG-13 rated movie.
Select Audiences
Appropriate for mature audience. Contains language and situations that will not be for everyone, either due to content or personal taste. The equivalent of an R rated movie.
